Design Notes:
When specifying Pole Pocket Style take the width of the area you would like to cover, add 2-4 inches to each side. You will order 2 panels at that measurement. Note that a finished width of 46”-50" is 1 width of material and is 46”-50" wide when drawn flat, we recommend 200% fullness, i.e. a 50" panel will cover 25" - 30" of window and still retain soft folds when drawn shut. When a width greater than 46”-50” is requested there will be a seam where the fabric is joined to make the panel.

Lined:Panels will be made using the face fabric and then lined in a cotton fabric.
Lined & Interlined:Panels will be made using the face fabric, lined with a cotton fabric with a flannel lining in between. This will provide optimal insulation and some room darkening qualities. If using silk we always recommend using this option as it helps protect the silk and give the panels great body.
Blackout Lining: Panels will be made using the face fabric and then lined with a blackout fabric. This option is great for a bedroom or media room. Note that using blackout lining will give the drapery a stiffer hand. Using blackout lining is not recommended if you want a puddled look.

All of our panels, with the exception of a few product lines, are sold as singles. If you need a total of 2 panels, you need to add a quantity of 2 panels into your cart.

When ordering a Buy 1 Get 1 item, for every panel you add to your cart, HPD will add another at no extra cost. So if you need a total of 4 Buy 1 Get 1 panels, add a quantity of 2 panels to your cart and HPD will add 2 more for free, for a total of 4 panels.

Measuring and Installation

The term Custom Made refers to items that are made to a customer’s specifications. These specifications can be for the width of the curtain, the length of the curtain, what the top of the curtain looks like, the kind of lining the curtain may need or any combination of these things. Many of our products can be ordered as custom made. To find these products on our website click the Custom option under Shop by Size.

Items featured on our website as Ready Made are standard sizes items that are kept in stock. Ordering Ready-made items are the fastest way to receive your curtains because they usually ship within 3 to 5 days of placing your order.

Yes. Curtains made to your exact size and style are called Custom Made. To order custom sized curtains click the Custom option under Shop by Size.

Installing your curtains is unique to your home and situation. For advice on installation, HPD provides several links to help you install your curtains like a pro. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Shipping is free on orders within the contiguous United States.

HPD ships within the contiguous United States, including Hawaii. Unfortunately, we do not ship to Alaska, PO Boxes or address with PPO or PRO.

Upgrade your shipping choice to get your order quickly. Once you choose your shipping option and agree to the surcharge, your order will receive priotity handling from our fulfillment team. When your order leaves our warehouse, we will let you know. You will receive a shipping notification email, that will include a tracking number so that you can track the progress of the delivery.

For Ready Made items, your card will have a pending charge (this is to ensure the funds are available at the time of purchase). Once your item(s) begin to ship, you will be physically charged and the pending charge will fall off.  

If you order a custom product or a made to order product, your card will be charged at the time the order is placed, but will not ship for 3 to 5 weeks.

Yes.  Orders that have NOT been upgraded to expedited status may be delivered on a Saturday.

Most orders arrive 5 to 7 days from the time they leave our warehouse. You will be receive a shipping notification email so that you can track your order. Orders shipped to Hawaii may take a little longer to arrive.

All of your in stock, Ready Made Items will ship right away. The portion of the order that is a Custom Order will ship once they are received in our warehouse and quality checked. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with each shipment.

RETURNS & WARRANTY

Half Price Drapes warranties our products against all defects including manufacturing and workmanship with a limited warranty. Should the product be defective, Half Price Drapes will, at its sole discretion, refund or replace the defective item. We ask that you notify us within 30 days of receiving your product.

The following items are not covered by the warranty:

  • Normal wear & tear examples: normal fading from sunlight, fraying of fabric, loss of color intensity, damage from water, insects or pets, deterioration of operation mechanisms over time.

If you need to return something for any reason please contact us within 30 days of receiving the item. Also, we ask that you obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization # before you send something back to us. Half Price Drapes does not accept items for an exchange or store credit. If you wish to replace the items you have received, we recommend that you return the unwanted items for a refund as soon as possible and place a new order.

Half Price Drapes does accept returns on custom items, however, we will retain 50% of the purchase price. For this reason we highly recommend that you order swatches for any item you are considering for a custom treatment.

Half Price Drapes will accept returns on these items within 30 days of the receipt of the order.

Due to Covid-19 protocols, HPD processes refunds may take up to 21 days of receiving a return in our warehouse. We highly recommend that you keep any tracking information you received when shipping the order back to us, until you see the refund appear on your method of payment. If you find that you have not been refunded for a return that has reached our warehouse within 21 days, you can email our customer service department at customerservice@halfpricedrapes.com or call us at 866-413-7273, and we will be happy to help you.

Once your return order has been received in our warehouse it will be entered into our system and a notification will be sent to our accounting department. Once the notification is received our accounting department will get to work on issuing your refund. Once the refund has been issued to your method of payment you will be sent a notification that the refund has been processed. Please allow up to 21 days for the refund to be issued from the day the return is received in our warehouse. We highly recommend that you keep your tracking information until the refund has been processed.

Half Price Drapes does not pay for return shipping unless arrangements have been made before the order has been shipped back to us.

ORDER STATUS

HPD will send you an order confirmation email once your order has been process. If you have not received an order confirmation within a few minutes of placing your order, you should check to see if the order was routed to your junk or spam file. If it is not there you can sign in to your account from our website and locate your order history from there.

You will receive a shipping notification email when your order leaves our warehouse. It will include a tracking number that you can use to track the progress of your order.

Unfortunately, once an order is placed we cannot edit or make changes you will need to request to cancel. The fastest way to reach us to request a cancellation is to give us a call during office hours at 805-702-7081. If you need to make a cancellation after hours or over the weekend, the best way to reach us is by emailing us at customerservice@halfpricedrapes.com. Half Price Drapes stocks swatches for all of the curtain panels we sell. You can order a swatch buy clicking on the Order a Swatch button on any curtain page.

We will send you the first 5 swatches for free. All swatches are priced at $.99 should you need to order more than 5.

HPD keeps fabric on hand for any panels that we make Custom products with. So if you are ordering an item from a page that offers Custom sizes, more than likely, you can order fabric as well.

Pleat & Header Guide
  • Pole/Rod Pocket

    Our most simple and effortless style, pole pocket drapes are made with a 3 inch rod pocket at the top that can be sheered on a rod or hung from rings or carriers. The pocket will accommodate a pole up to 1 1/2" in diameter.

  • Pole Pocket with Back Tabs

    A versatile top treatment, these panels can be sheered on the Rod using the pocket, hung using the back tabs to create a rippled look, or even hung on rings to enhance their functionality. The pocket will accommodate a pole up to 1 1/2" in diameter. These panels can also be hung from rings.

  • Pole Pocket with Hook Belt  

    This top treatment allows the curtains to be hung two different styles. One being by the pole pocket for a gather look. The pocket will accommodate a pole up to 1 ½” in diameter. The other style uses the hook belt. The hook belt is a ribbon like band sewed into the back of the pole pocket curtain. This is used to reinforce any drapery pins. Drapery pins can then be attached to rings or a traverse rod.

  • Pole Pocket with Back Tabs and Hook Belt

    Our most versatile top treatment these panels can be sheered on a rod using the pocket, hung using the back tabs for a fixed ripple look or attached to rings using the hook belt and drapery pins. The pocket will accommodate a pole up to 1 1/2" in diameter.

  • Grommets

    This style panel features large metal eyelets that slide onto a curtain rod. They are ideal if you want a clean modern look for a treatment you do not intend to pull back and forth every day. The inside diameter of the eyelets is 1 5/8". We do not recommend that you use a rod with a diameter larger than 1 3/8" for ease of use.

  • Inverted Pleats

    Modern and smart, inverted pleats build in the fullness you need without the more traditional pinched pleats. Made like boxed pleats, these panels look clean and flat across the top when pulled closed. Suitable to hang from rings or carriers.

  • Parisian Pleats

    Chic and stylish, Parisian pleated panels add that little upscale touch that says custom made refinement. Suitable to hang from rings or carriers.

  • Goblet Pleats

    Like little champagne goblets, this top treatment is a fashionable statement that adds drama and charm to your decor. Suitable to hang from rings or carriers.

  • French Pleat

Fabric by the Yard purchases can ONLY be cancelled within 24 hours of the purchase.  After 24 hours, we will not accept any cancellations & returns - as all sales are final.

Metal and Wooden Hardware can be returned for a refund within 30 days of receipt of the item. Hardware must be returned in its original packaging, and in its original condition, or may be subject to 15% restocking fee.

Half Price Drapes warranties our products against all defects including manufacturing and workmanship with a limited warranty. Should the product be defective, Half Price Drapes will, at its sole discretion, refund or replace the defective item. We ask that you notify us within 30 days of receiving your product.
The following items are not covered by the warranty:
  • Normal wear & tear examples: normal fading from sunlight, fraying of fabric, loss of color intensity, damage from water, insects or pets, deterioration of operation mechanisms over time.

To initiate a return on any of our item, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your item(s) for product-specific return procedures. Once a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is issued you have 30 days to return the item back to us.

All returns require a RMA. There are two ways to receive an RMA receipt:
